This blog focuses on things I love:

  • Books : collecting, book-hunting, Jane Austen, etc
  • Traveling : culture, sights and food
  • Los Angeles
  • TV, Movies and Music
  • Family and Friendship

I have had this blog for awhile now but I haven’t been writing, and so I have decided to start writing again. That means, I have to write about past travels and book hunting as well as new ones. =)

My husband and I both work regular jobs, bills to pay and we have 2 pets, so we cannot afford to pack up and travel. However, we do make it a point to go somewhere – near or far – every year. And on some weekends. The goal is to eventually be able to pack up and travel.

We live in Los Angeles, Hollywood/Mid-City area – where there’s always something going on. I will blog about that as well.

There’s an abundance of used books in the Los Angeles area and I can say we might have been to most of the book sales event around here. I’ll write about some tips.

To my readers, do check back often.

One of the favorite quotes:

“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.”

– Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

  1. Hey, share some Austen with your friends. Ownshelf is a new service for eBook readers to share their ebooks with friends across devices. We just launched our beta and opened up to public use and feedback. I would like to invite you to try it out. Blog about it if you like. And certainly send me any feedback.
