BBC’s Adaptation of Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens

One of my favorite tv series, aside from all things Jane Austen-related, is BBC’s 2008 adaptation of Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens. This book is about debt, honor and hope in 1820s London. It is also about love, but then you have to watch or read the book because I am not giving it away to those who haven’t. 🙂 They have a great cast including my all time favorite Matthew MacFayden and the beautiful Claire Foy.

One of my favorite scenes is when John told Arthur that Amy loves him and he said, “All the time I was breaking my heart over her, she was breaking hers over you.” Great acting!

I have watched this series 3 times and I would probably never get tired of it. 

And it’s a 14-episode series =)

I definitely recommend it.
